Ontario Electricity Rebate

What is it?

Effective November 1, 2019, the Ontario government has introduced the new Ontario Electricity Rebate. All residential and small commercial customers are automatically eligible for the rebate. You do not need to apply.

The Ontario Electricity Rebate applies to electricity consumed on or after November 1, 2019. For new applications, the rebate will apply to the first bill following receipt of the application and will not apply retroactively.

If your account is for a farm, long-term care home or multi-unit complex, please see the rebate page under For Business: https://haltonhillshydro.com/for-business/rebates/

You will see a new line item called the Ontario Electricity Rebate that shows the total amount of your rebate.

If you receive the Ontario Electricity Support Program rebate, you will see an additional line item on your bill called “Total Provincial Support” that summarizes your rebate amounts.

The new Ontario Electricity Rebate is for households, farms, long-term care homes and many small businesses.

All residential and small commercial customers are automatically eligible for the rebate. You do not need to do anything.
