Halton Hills Hydro outage update for December 31

Halton Hills Hydro is pleased that the distribution lines have been restored, but we know that our work isn’t finished.

If anyone is still without power that means there could be damage to the equipment that connects their home to the power lines.  It is recommended that customers with damage to their electrical service call a licensed electrical contractor to make repairs as soon as possible.  This message is extremely important for rural and farm services where pole lines supplying individual homes and barns across private property are often customer owned.  Please visit the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) at esasafe.com for a list of licensed contractors and directions on how to proceed with repairs. If the equipment has been repaired or lines have been cleared, customers are asked to call Halton Hills Hydro at 519-853-3701 and a crew will reconnect as soon as possible.

“We thank everyone for their continued patience, we fully appreciate how stressful this past week has been and we will continue to reconnect those customers who are still without power,” said Art Skidmore, President & CEO, Halton Hills Hydro.

Mr. Skidmore also thanked Halton Hills Hydro staff who continue to work long hours and through the holiday’s  to restore power for customers. In addition, a number of external organizations assisted the utility with power restoration and reconnects : Waterloo North Hydro, Bluewater Power (Sarnia), Guelph Hydro, Oakville Hydro, London Hydro, Kitchener Wilmot Hydro, Westario Power (Kincardine, Port Elgin, Hanover), Woodstock Hydro, Welland Hydro, Hydro One, Westmore Powerlines, Dundas Powerlines, Quality Tree, Davey Tree and Asplund Tree contractors.
